What is PerfiTrak? It's an ultra-modern web application (fancy website) that allows you to record, organize, and analyze your personal finances!

• Why bother with tracking my finances? Because it's important! If one does not, for example, a big purchase might drain an account so much that not enough money is left to cover an upcoming bill. Buying a nice, new TV and then not having enough money to pay the electric bill would be a very unfortunate (and embarrassing) occurrence.
  
  
• But aren't I already? Sure, you already likely have receipts from stores, carbon copies of checks, a checkbook ledger, monthly statements from bank/credit card accounts, and/or pay stubs from your job. However, with those items 100% coverage is unlikely to be achieved, accuracy is not guaranteed, and the sources are highly disparate and difficult to combine to get an overall picture. Not only that, but questions such as “How much has my car cost me this past year?” or “How much do I owe people?” take a lot of manual labor to fully answer.
  

Thus, PerfiTrak was developed. It provides a visually interactive and cohesive cross-browser/operating system web interface to make the task of managing transactions more efficient and enjoyable, it implements a fully user-customizable hierarchical tagging scheme to help better organize transactions, and it supports both importing and exporting of common financial transaction formats to make your "job" even easier!
